			Four generations ago Josef Horadam and Hermann Schmincke, brother in law and both chemists, became fascinated by the "spirit of colours". They set out to identify the composition of traditional resin-oil colours and to manufacture and present them in the newly discovered metal tube. Today at various stages in their production, our colours are still hand-made on traditional equipment including stone mills. Then as well as now they are formulated around the original individual recipes to the "finest" quality.
